Biosketch/About me

I currently live in Blacksburg, VA. I work at the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, in the Connected and Advanced Vehicle Systems research group. Our work spans almost the entire range of possible vehicle technologies available and in development.

Prior to this, I lived and worked in Nuremberg, Germany on a fellowship from the Fulbright Commission. In May 2013 I graduated from Berea College with a degree in history and minors in German and computer science.

I studied cultural history, with a particular emphasis on film studies and 20th century American History. My interests now lie more in the field of technology than in history, but I do still enjoy learning and discussing history, particularly as it applies to the development of meanings and mythologies within cultures. It's fascinating stuff, really. For a full look at my certifications and qualifications, skills and much, much more, feel free to take a look at my curriculum vitae.
